ROSEBUD FILM FEST.
Opening Film - Fri. 1/27
Jan. 27 thru-29
Rosslyn Spectrum & Clarendon Ballroom
Rosebud is an annual competition open exclusively to DC, Maryland, and Virginia film and video producers. For 26 years, the Rosebud Festival has honored the innovative, experimental, unusual, and deeply personal in creative film and video making through Arlington Independent Media. The opening night film (at Rosslyn Spectrum), Reparation, was written, directed, and produced by Baltimore, Maryland, filmmaker Kyle Ham. The film stars Jon Huertas (Castle, This Is Us), Marc Menchaca (Inside Amy Schumer), and Virginia Newcomb (The Atoning). Mr. Ham will be on site for a Q&A after the film. The 2017 nominee film showcase takes place on Saturday with the entire 20-film (6½-hour) slate of nominees screened beginning at 1pm (also at Rosslyn Spectrum). The three-day event concludes on Sunday with the Rosebud Awards Gala at the Clarendon Ballroom.
